The car came from the factory with the optional S trim package and has received many mechanical and cosmetic upgrades including; larger Fuchs wheels and Yokohama ($1,000 a set) tires, new Bilstein shocks all around ($1,500), a strut-brace, ’87 Carrera brakes, a Bursh exhaust system, two new gel-cell batteries, a new headliner, new front pan for the suspension mounts, and a recent $3,000 paint job. The car comes with a cover and Haynes maintenance manual.
This lovely classic Porsche sports car will provide its knowledgeable owner with plenty of what classic 911s are famous for. This Porsche’s 2.4-liter engine starts easily and runs great when warmed up a bit. It does have some issues with idling higher than normal sometimes, but this can be taken care of by blipping the throttle. The five-speed manual transmission operates well, providing positive shifts and no popping out of gear. The clutch engages smoothly and does not slip. The Porsche’s smooth and strong six-cylinder engine is capable of speeds over 130 MPH and will cruise comfortably at speeds in excess of 90 MPH.
